Vasant Bahaar 2009
It’s that time of the year again when we celebrate the arrival of spring with food, fun and entertainment! Please mark your calendars for “ Vasant Bahar 2009 ”

In the first part of the evening we will have an entertainment program.
- “Ranga-Rang”: We would like to invite kids as well as adult participants for this “Talent Show”. Anything that is entertaining is acceptable (tell a joke, stand-up comedy, sing, dance, play an instrument or do anything creative). Individual as well as group performances are acceptable. All those who participate will put their names in a bowl. At the end of the evening we pick up one lucky winner!
- “Ukhanyachi Bahaar”: We would like all the adults to have fun that evening by having a ‘Ukhaney fight’(!) Scratch your heads to come up with your own creative ukhaney or the ones you remember from olden times! If your ukhana matches the theme of the evening (Spring, Holi, Shiv Jayanti, Gudhi padwa, etc) even better. All those who say the Ukhaney will put their names in a bowl. At the end of the evening we pick up one lucky winner!
Everyone always waits for the next part of Vasant Bahar evening where adults and kids put up stalls for food or games. We would like to invite you all to host a food or games stall. Attendees will vote for the best stalls. One adult and one kid stall will be selected for the prizes.
Here are some pointers:
- Food items and games: Price each item you sell at or less than $3.00
- Bring your own paper products & plastic ware
- As much as possible think of items that do not need heating up. If you do, please contact us for more information
- For items priced above $3.00 or commercial items a $25.00 fee is charged
